Your birth and death dates don't look accurate. He is listed in the 1880 US census with son Charles H and his wife Rebecca which match Find A Grave, but the census is from 16 JUNE 1880. Perhaps the death date for him is actual his wife's? The suggestion that the birth date was 14 DEC 1804 would also fit the age of 75 years on last birthday for the 1880 census, but I've found ages to be mistaken many times.

Thanks! I've updated the photo description on my Ancestry.com account, and let the other people questioning the caption know. --judy

It's just attached to the cemetery page. I don't know if it's attached to any particular memorial. Someone added it to their Ancestry.com page (without attribution) for an ancestor that is also in my tree. Here's the URL:

There's a photo attributed to you of a monument that says, "1710-1913 To guard the --- --- of the South Parish" and I can't get the words on the middle line. Do you know what the inscription says? If I enlarge the photo, it's too blurry to read.

Thank you
Thanks so much for the Nathaniel Stevens memorial--a real treasure for me, being not only an ancestor, but a RW soldier as well. Warmest regards... Stan
