I started with FindaGrave several years ago in an effort to save my Mother's family pioneer graveyard in Illinois, which is in the woods down a one lane country road. Advertising the existence of these rural cemetaries should draw the attention (and maybe a visit) of descendents who are now scattered all over the US. It seems to have raised some awareness of the existence of the cemetary, but no repairs.

I spend a lot of time improving the quality of biography information and links.
