I live down the road for Lower Salem Baptist Church/Cemetery, so I would be glad to help you in getting a photo of Caroline's headstone.
As I've told another person, I'm not sure of the condition of Lower Salem Baptist Cemetery. As of now, I'm 18, and the sponsoring church hasn't been in operation for my entire life. I know they keep it mowed, but if anything had happened to a stone, I'm afraid it would more than likely just be damaged without anyone doing anything.
This being said, I would love to do my part in helping you obtain a picture! I should be able to get out there in the next few days, but if you don't hear from me in about a week, please feel free to leave me a message.

I was wondering if you are personally connected to the above? I did see that you posted a photo.
I noticed two memorials of him.I'm trying to figure out if he is in my tree but perhaps with a 2nd wife.
Regards, Brenda Wood

This record and his death cert. say he is buried at Black Creek Cemetery. He is actually buried in Green Hill Cemetery. I remember seeing his monument several times when visiting the cemetery. I added the record in 2008 and the picture of the monument was recently added.
He had been married to Jerdine Calhoun and she is buried at Mt. Zion, in an un-marked grave, next to her son Auty Axley.
I noticed you have added several pictures that are in my family tree to different Find A Grave memorials. Are you related?

Yes sometimes this can be frustrating when graves are unmarked as I have come across several while filling requests on findagrave... it may be possible to contact the cemetery staff and see if they might have any further records
Thank You Very Much Your Time and Energy are Greatly Appreciated.
