Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born about 1/2 mile from the Stewart-Parker Cemetery, aka South Hebron Cemetery. Most of my family are buried there. I will not be as I am donating my body to be used for whatever it may be needed for. I have been researching my family for over 30 years. Traveling in a Motor Home to do so. I have been to Scotland and found the family farm location there. I hope to complete the Stewart Cemetery online in the next year or so. Contact me if you are interested in the Stewarts or just genealogy.

I am nearing completion of a publication of a direct line of Stewarts from Scotland, 1705 to Illinois and beyond, 2009. It has been a work of nearly five years. TITLE: Stewart, One Of Many. (Perhaps?) (SEE BELOW!!!!!!!!!)

A poem to lighten the Genealogists work day.

Heredity, A Genealogy Poem

I saw a duck the other day,
It had the feet of my Aunt Faye.
Then it walked, was heading South,
It waddled like my Uncle Ralph.

And when it turned, I must propose,
Its bill was formed like Aunt Jane's nose.
I thought, "Oh, no! It's just my luck,
Someday I'll look just like a duck."

I sobbed to Mom about my fears,
And she said, "Honey, dry your tears.
You look like me, so walk with pride,
Those folks are all from Daddy's side."

RE: Thomas Charles Memorial #84877582
HI Bruce. I'm sorry but I didn't understand your original question. Mike's Grandfather was from the second wife. You're correct the name on the tombstone was Ann and I think your correct that her real name was Mary Ann.

RE: Thomas Charles Memorial #84877582
Bruce,
Thank you for the transfer. Thomas descended from David and Anna. I may have her last name somewhere but will have to search. I didn't know that Sarah had a twin. Do you have Robert Stewart Charles included in the number of children born. My father-in-law actually located his Charles relatives in Wales and he and my husband visited them several times. Robert S Charles is also buried at Greenwood Cemetery - section Q32 Lot 144. I have a little more on Robert's line if you would like it. Most of that line is now deceased. Pat

Thomas Charles Memorial #84877582
Bruce, Thomas Charles was my husbands Great Grandfather. Here is some additional information. Thomas and his first wife had 2 additional children: Robert Stewart Charles and Sarah Luella Charles. He married his second wife in 1881 (Emma Corelia Murphy) and they had 3 more children. I can give you additional information if you like.

Thomas was born in Mountainwater,Hayscastle Parrish, Pembrokeshire, Wales

I will add a memorial for Emma Murphy Charles 2 w/o Thomas

Would you consider transfering Thomas to me.
Thank you
Pat Charles

RE: Memorial # 79585482
Thank you for pointing this out. I will take care of this.

I am descended from the Stewarts of South Brimfield (now Wales) Massachusetts. My GGGgrandfather brought his family to western NY in the early 1800s, which is where I was born.
