Thank you, but no relation. She was my 4th grade teacher at Brookhaven Elementary. Her parents lived a few doors down from my grandparents home on Chippewa St., and she lived on Chickasaw St. in later years, which was a block over.

I would love to see your spread sheet. I'll send you my connection as well. Thanks! I would love to get to know you.

I am the great great granddaughter of Harriet Jane Stephens and Hayne Shuler. I'm trying to gather relatives, descendants, etc. to have a family gathering and cemetery clean-up this fall (2015). If anyone is interested in participating please contact me - Gail Felker - at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am transferring your cousin to your care.
Happy New Year,

You sent an edit with a death date of Dec 1929 but I did not make the correction. I found an application for his military headstone (which I added to his memorial) and the date listed on there was 16 Dec 1930. I had also found him on the 1 April 1930 census living in Georgia with his daughter Lena and her family. Hope this information helps you.

Also, about Agnes...
Do you know how to insert a clickable link into a bio?
In the original edit I sent you, I included the link to the First Families Order, and I was hoping you would add the HTML code to her bio so it would insert a clickable link people could click on it and read more about it.
If you need me to resend the edit with the HTML code for the link, I can do that if you want.

I am glad you like the bio data for Agnes Steen.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything about the First Family organization, however I looked at their website and they have a page that discusses membership.
This page discusses the history:
History of the Order
This age discusses membership requirements: Membership info
Basically, this is what it says:
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP:
Anyone who can prove lineal descent from a person who lived in what is now the State of Mississippi between 1699, when the French established the settlement of Old Biloxi, and December 10, 1817, when Mississippi was admitted to the Union, is eligible for membership in The Order of the First Families of Mississippi.
Anyone interested in becoming a member must be sponsored by two members and approved by the General Council of the Orderís officers before being invited to apply for membership.

Good luck! :)

Hi Linda, Aunt Elizabeth was a saint raising 4 children in her own. And, still putting herself through college after all the kids graduated. Thanks for the kind remarks. Jack
|Wyndy South||RE: Joel Thigpen|
You are most welcome. I will be back at that cemetery Labor Day. I will place all photos on site that don't already have one posted on Find A Grave. Also any memorials that are missing from the site, I hope to add them as well. WYNDY
