I like to tramp through cemeteries, too, so I'm delighted to find this community of like minded folks. I am as fascinated with the tombstones of strangers as I am with those of my own kinfolks. When I was in junior high, my family lived across the street from a cemetery and I found it to be a place of peace and quiet in a hectic world.|

Thank you for adding the info. I have nothing else yet; sort of trailed into the Zibell's working with other families. If I find more, I will certainly share.

Missed it the first time also, until I uploaded the picture. Went back and took some more pictures. I try and take a row when I go. They have several gardens and a fountain in most of their gardens. Jan

Did you notice the marker of Melvin D Mitchell at the base of the marker. Missed it til I got home. I can go back and take a picture if interested. Jan

I went for a ride on Saturday. Left Chilhowie, drove up 81 to Rural Retreat, took 11 to Wytheville, took 21 to Independence, and back to Damascus on 58. Was going right past Haw Orchard Rd., so I stopped by.
Very well-kept cemetery.
Happy to help.
