Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was bitten by the "genealogy bug" thanks to my darling little brother. He wanted something he could leave to his children and asked if I had anything I could contribute. We have different fathers but the same mother so I told him to handle his father's side and I would take care of Mom's side (I'm almost retired and he's still a kid). Now I'm busy doing BOTH sides and I'm ready to add a third for my father's side of the family! I'm having so much fun connecting with so many great people that I wanted to help others the way I've been helped - so here I am! If you need information or assistance in getting info or pictures in Southern California I'm here for you.

RE: Photo for Martin Mannchen
Sandra, I was not aware that he was a veteran. Would it be possible to ask for his service info? I would love to know what unit he served etc and if they have any info on who the informant was at the time of his burial, if it is known. Maybe I can acquire satisfactory documents where a military headstone could be requested, I'd like to try, this info comes as a surprise, had no idea he served. He is my step-Grandfather. There is allot about him we do not know and appreciate the efforts you have gone thru and please thank the staff should you visit them again.

I've just been advised that you may have claimed a photo request for this memorial. A previous researcher was advised by Pierce Bros. that they had no record of him. There appears to be some confusion on the Oklahoma funeral record. I'm attempting to clarify. In the meantime I've amended his memorial to burial unknown so the photo request has been removed. However, if you should happen to find anything on him, please notify me so I can complete the record.
Thanks for your help and for your contributions to Find A Grave.

Bertha Horn Keeker
This is about Bertha Horn Keeker--I am on the hunt for a Bertha Horn who was the daughter of an Elizabeth Rinker and ? some Horn. I am a Horn and Rinker researcher as that is my family. Do you have an obituary or anything that says what her mother's maiden name might have been. Elizabeth died as a Seibold in Nebraska, but had an earlier marriage to this Horn. Wondered if you could help? If her mother's maiden name was Rinker, then I know who she was, just not which Horn was her father--but think I know. Thanks Wm & SJ. Donath #48116482

Regarding a conversation we had last fall, I was finally able to take a photo of Alvin's headstone at Cary Cemetery and post it to his memorial that someone recently made.

The stone shows the name ALVIN on top but the front of the stone is very weathered and shows no sign of engraving.
