I got into genealogy in 2007 and I just love it. The main families I'm researching are: Powers, Bell, Benford, Warren, and McIntosh on my father's side and Hawk, Herndon, Dunlap, Lunsford, and Davis on my mother's side. I will gladly share any information I have.|

|Eli Chandler||RE: Wm. E. L. Strong b. 1840|
Hi Janie, thanks for the census info.. I did not have all of that handy. I guess nobody knows what the E. L. stands for but I guess he probably is not a Jr.. I have always wondered if this "L" is in error. Not compatible with other records of the family with more names. It has been copied so much(including me)but we cannot delete it yet.
He could very well be a son as I don`t see how else he could have almost the same name and fit into the birth dates and be in the census with the family. He could only have been a brother of Wm. Elder Strong`s b. 1804, son, that somehow was raised by Wm. and Sarah.
He joined the same company and regiment as his brothers/cousins did during the WBTS and is recorded as such. I think we can safely list him as a natural part of this family. Whether a sibling, nephew, or cousin we will have to narrow it down more. Its good to be careful and make sure but we have more than three collaborating records that are better evidence than most. I guess we need to track all Wm. Elders Strong`s brothers to see if any had a child Wm. E.L. Strong b. 1840. This is the only other thing it could be besides a more distant cousin somehow. Very possible.
As for your question many things popped into my mind. Remember that Sarah T. West Strong was an Indian and probably at least 50-100%. I will eventually post this picture. Wm. Elder Strong also only lived five more years after this and maybe he was not well or wanted it this way for some reason. I will have to study on it a little more. It is definitely intriguing. Enough for now. Cousin Eli

Hi Janie, looks like you have been busy. Lots of good things to look at on Find A Grave. You must have made a trip to Georgia? Great stuff on the Strong Cem..
I was wondering if you had Wm. E. L. Strong as a son of Wm. Elder Strong b. 1804 and Sarah T. West. I noticed he is not on your list of kids on Find A Grave.
It looks to me like he served in Co."C", 19th Ga. Inf. with his two brothers during the WBTS. It looks like he was the only one to live through it. Some list him and some don`t. I was interested in your opinion or facts. No rush.......Sincerely, Cousin Eli

Sister have corrected, thanks...Ed

It is funny how when I add names to cemeteries there are no duplicates, later they are now duplicates. Find A Grave policy states after 30 days of unknown burials they are to be deleted. There were 3 duplicates now, Thanks...Ed

I have corrected the name of the cemetery and thanks for the information.

Janie I didn't really know if she was related or not but thought just incase then you would want a permanent stone photo to keep I don't know why some people will never make or buy a permanent stone for their family it don't cost a lot if you make one on your own.
I noticed a lot of the Light surnames from the cemetery I haven't looked yet to see if they are all listed or not but will look and see though.
|Gloria Jennings Lowrey||THANKS AGAIN!|
I'm sorry to keep bothering you. I think I finally got the Phillips memorials straightened out. Thank you for all your help. It was very considerate of you to share all that information with me.
|Gloria Jennings Lowrey||Oscar G. Phillips|
Janie, is Oscar G. Phillips one of my memorials? I can't find it!!!
