Here is a thought....
The State of Oregon would be most happy to release the remains to a family member. Maybe one can be found. The urn could possibly be buried in an existing grave with family consent. It would be wonderful to see that happen. The expense should be minimal. A funeral home may volunteer their time to help with contacts.
Thank you, Martin Burrell
Pamela, thanks for the edit. The memorial has been transfered to you. Take care.

Martha was Abigail's stepmother. I hope this what you were referring to as 2nd wife of John D. Wood. I notice you are helping with the Polk Co Cemetery project, I also have knowledge that Isaac Zumwalt m. 2nd Ursula Wells, she was married 3 times prior to Isaac but Isaac was her last marriage, she is said from family history to be buried in Montgomery Cemetery, Isaac's 1st wife Sarah on one side & Ursula on the other side of Isaac. Ursula's marriages 1st Stephen Post,2nd Amos Harvey,3rd George Nutter & 4th Isaac Zumwalt. Isaac & Sarah are my 3rd great grandparents. Isaac & Sarah's son Charles Newton Zumwalt & Mary Ann Lee d/o Wilson & Abigail Lee are my 2nd great grandparents. Hope this information is useful to them.

Your guess is as good as mine. I would guess next to husband John D. Wood. The gravestone looks like a double stone with the other side blank. Take a look, it is quite an odd looking gravestone like the other side should have been engraved with another name.
|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Abigal Lee|
The reason why I haven't spelt it Abigail is because gravestone has Abigal. Please look at the gravestone. I will change the spelling and put a note on memorial about the gravestone. She is my 3rd great grandmother & I do feel it was Abigail but the spelling on the gravestone just made me wonder & knowing findagravers, they would try to send me a note telling me the spelling on the stone was Abigal, I was trying to avoid this.

The updates you suggested have been added. If this is your family I would be happy to transfer the Memorials to you.
