Bio

My parents came to Houston, Texas in 1938 from Leesville, Louisiana. I am a native Houstonian. Update: I no longer live in Houston, TX.
My hobby for 45 years is genealogy. I have traveled and placed grave markers on the graves of my grandparents, gr. grandparents, gr gr grandparents and others.
I ordered the grave markers from the government for my great grandfathers who served in the Confederacy, War of 1812 and the rest I bought myself.

In 1989 I wrote the book: The Landrum Family of Beaumont, Texas" which was the first book to identify the Landrum brothers who left SC and went into the Mississippi Territory (Alabama) to settle. My new Landrum book will be printing in April, 2016. This book focuses mainly on the descendants of Barnabas Landrum, b. SC and migrated to the MS TERR with his siblings. It us a large book and will include related families and some of my research on John Landrum of Essex Co., VA.
