When a distant relative, Sarah Locklin Taylor (3rd Cousin, 1x removed) told me about FAG and I was able to trace my people based on her contributions, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. |
I am concentrating on south Cobb County, Douglas Co and old Campbell Co in Ga. as well as Berry/Pearson and related families in Hancock Co Ga and the Barge family. And in Texas, the Campbell Family.
So there is no confusion, please suggest your corrections through the Edit tab on the memorial, not on my profile page.
I respectfully request that if you have changes or additions to a memorial that I created, biographical information or an obituary, please do not leave the information in the flower/token section of the memorial. Instead, please use the Edit tab and send the information to me to include.
If you send a correction or suggestion and I have no way to contact you for clarification, if needed (no email or messages disabled) chances are the edit will not be made by me.
I will transfer within FAG Guidelines and sometimes outside -- my discretion.
Please be aware that creating Burials Unknown or Non Cemetery burials just to add people is a no-no. Please review FAG Guidelines.
I edit obit/bio submissions to remove living people, esp minors.
You may use my headstone pictures as you see fit.

I accepted your edits for Marion Doyal, linking her to parents Joseph L. Barge and Lucy A. Holcombe Barge. While processing the edit, I noticed a possible issue with Lucy's name. Her memorial shows Holcombe as her maiden name, but her parents and siblings had the surname Slaton. Do you know if Holcombe was actually her middle name?
|Stan Jones||Fayette Shepperd Fitch|
I happily read the Find A Grave listing for Fayette Shepperd Fitch (167732015) in Garden of Memories in Harpersville, AL. I have long suspected that he is buried there with his wife Letita Jane Austell Fitch. I do know that James M. Gorman and his wife (Letita's sister) Ophelia Melissa Austell Gorman are buried there. I have wandered Garden of Memories looking for the the Fitch headstone including time on my knees looking at broken headstones. However I could not find the Fitch's or a record that they are positively buried there.
Would you mind sharing your source?
This is my first message and I do not know how you could respond if you wanted to. Just in case you can find me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi - the info you sent was already noted by me, but I went in and added full names for papers, put state in brackets, added that it was a Thursday edition. You might notice I also had originally included the column location which I left in to give a more accurate guide to find the obit.
Thank you for contacting me.

My sources are newspapers, online death certificates, and the listing of burials that they have at City Hall. Unfortunately, not everyone has a headstone. I found this out when searching for relatives at the cemetery for the past year. I found the family plot on the burial listings in the book at City Hall a couple of months ago. I went back to find the plot and I found it, but no one had a headstone.

Hello, In regards to Find A Grave Memorial# 10379174, I know it is not impossible however I believe it is highly unlikely that John and Elizabeth HARVEY Westmoreland are the parents of John M. Westmoreland, 1848-1856. Elizabeth would have been 61 years old when he was born.
In looking over my research notes it looks to me that John M. Westmoreland is the son of Milton W. and Catherine P. SMITH Westmoreland. Thus he would be the grandson of John and Elizabeth HARVEY Westmoreland.
Milton W Westmoreland married Catherine P. Smith in 1844. He died in 1855. Family records identify a John Milton Westmoreland as their son.
Kind Regards, Martha

Hi Pat, I added to Margaret's bio. Do you know why Findagrave is now the owner of her husband, James Kerley?
