I hope you dont mind if I use the photo on my family tree. Please be sure to let me know if you object. If I do not hear from you, I will assume you don't mind. Thanks so much.

Hopewell Cemetery
Hello again,

I see by your note you will be in the area of the Hopewell Cemetery around April 14th. By that time I will be back in Tucson, AZ.

I have visited the Hopewell Cemetery three times now, taking photos each time. My original visit was in 2012 looking for the graves of people in the 'Son' family.

My most recent visit was March 26, 2014. I took over 1200 more photos to finish my objective of photographing every readable gravestone, row by row. I will have completed posting these photos in the next three days. There may possibly be one or two that don't turn out clear enough and may need your help when you are there. Not sure right now. Hope not though.

Who is 47700116? I don't know how to access by number alone. Do you allow people to add information to graves without documentation? That corrupts the entire data base as you must know. Posting graves is a privilege and so many have done so much great work for the site but those of us who have done it for so long must evolve with the product especially to keep the site valid and for the memory of those who have passed. Thank you for all your work for find a grave but this clearly is an error. I will do some more research and get back with you. But I sure would like to be able to help the person (47700116) that gave you that information before he or she passes that error on to others. Maybe a family member couldn't find the original grave so she bought a stone and just put the name in the cemetery. See some of that in my work also. It's a mystery to me.

RE: Message about Margaret Leslie VanPool
Hello,

I did use the "Edit" selection.

But I have found out that if the information does not fit the categories of: Dates, Name, GPS or Marker Transcription the only remaining choice is "Suggest any other correction or addition". When one selects the last choice it automatically goes to your email.

Take a look and see what you think.

If it happened to me perhaps there are other Find A Grave people's messages that have gone to your junk mail like mine did.

Not sure how to do it next time. Perhaps make a change to your junk mail folder to allow email from me and possibly other Find A Grave contacts?

This may be happening to other Find A Grave members with messages that you and I send going to other junk mail folders also.

In the past when I send a polite suggestion and don't receive a reply I just thought the person was inactive or did not care about it. Now I know it may have gone to their junk mail and they don't even know.

John

From what I understand, the sibling linking is a new thing for Find A Grave and they do it from the parents' information. I think it's a great addition! And thank you for linking the family!
