I have been in and out of research for many years. Since retirement I am now able to spend more time researching. Some family names are Flippin, Hefley, Bumgarner, Clark, Holman, Dye, Garner and of course Mitchell.|

|Ann Warner||Sturdy Garner|
I am trying to find the father of Matilda Garner b. July 14, 1798 in Franklin Co. GA. She married George Birdwell in Madison Co. AL in 1814. I have a document showing that Sturdy Garner was in Madison Co., AL in 1817. I was wondering if you have the names of Sturdy's family and siblings and if Matilda might be one of them. Thank you.
|JMC||RE: Tillman Flippin|
Ok, no problem. We might be related. Paralee Flippin was my great great grandmother. She married William Jackson.

|Judy Flowers||Edythe Josephine Garner (Harding)|
This is my great-grandmother who was married to William Mark Harding. Someone added that she was born in Newton County, MS, and as far as I know they never lived there. The family left Alabama and went to Chickasaw County, MS, and then to Lafayette County, MS. Please help me if you know who might have added this so we can correspond. She once had a marker but the road in the cemetery was changed and the marker was lost. Edythe is buried next to her husband and a daughter who died in the flu epidemic way back.
I placed the marker at my Mother's request and the funeral home made the mistake of not adding the name Harding. Since I did not have a copy of my letter to them I paid to have Harding added to the front of the marker. There was not room to add on to the top. I have not been back to see if this was done correctly
If you know who I might contact please let me know.
Thank you for your help.

Sure. The Blalocks did marry into my family on the Nichols side and the Baldwin side. So if your info includes any of those names, I'd be interested in knowing.

|Dana C||Alford Flippin's grave|
I've been working on the flippin line in my family for years. Back in 2009, I spent hours at the cemetery when Alford Flippin (my gg grandfather) is buried, but neither my husband or myself was successful in locating his grave. After reading your information on this site, did you find his grave and if so do you have a photo of it. I live semi close to Vinita and I would love to see it if it has been found.
