I think it's nice to have a feel for where you're from. I'm very fortunate, both of my parents' families were interested in their family tree and had done a lot of research and had written it down. That gave me a real head start in following my ancestors.
In the search for them i found Find A Grave where I've found family grave sites, added some of my own and feel the need to help others find their loved ones. What better tribute to someone than to have a memorial, so they can always be remembered.
