Julia Funkhouser (Cutshall)
Julia Funkhouser was married to Jacob Gutshall 1832-1891. Some of there children change there last name of "Gutshall" to "Cutshall". The headstone Name is a little hard to see. So if it reads "Cutshall" It should have been "Gutshall".

RE: William and Elizabeth Moore
You're welcome, Ginger. When I read Mrs. Moore's Obituary, I realized that Mr. Moore was my high school principal many, many years ago. I graduated from Clarksville High School! So thanks for the memory.

RE: Bennet Puryear and Puryear family
Hi Ginger,

My direct line of Puryears comes from Jesse Puryear, son of Peter (b. circa 1715) and Susannah Puryear. He lived in central Virginia (Henrico?).

There are two other books on the family, "Puryear Kin and Kin to Kin," by Grace Hollis Puryear, and the other is "Ancestors and Descendants of Jesse Puryear and Jane Holman," by Mary Jeter Puryear.
I have a copy of the last book mentioned, the one by M.J. Puryear.

Bennet Puryear' s children
Actually when you asked I have found several of his children. 3 are buried in plot A-118 with their parents. They are Virginia, Frank and Lewis. None of their graves are marked. Another son Bennet Jr is also buried in Hollywood, his grave is marked. He was a Maj Gen in the USMC, in WWI & WWII. I have not found the rest of them.

Hi Ginger,
I have noticed your requests Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. I am a data manager for this cemetery and can edit names, dates and family connections. Many of us have had the experience of non-response from the funeral home that posted the memorials. If I can help, please just let me know.
Regards, Louise

I noticed that you have a few requests for pics. I would suggest you call Phil at 1-540-292-2124 and get the grave locations. He has been extremely helpful to me and since it is such a hard cemetery to find graves, the location should get us some success. Happy hunting!!!

help with Zion.
Please tell me that like all Cowles families, all the Wells families are related.

I have three in Zion (United Methodist Church) Cemetery that you need to have transfered to you from "you know who". John Wesley #4816 5646 and wife Susie F.#4816 5612 and Vernon Bracey #4811 6845. They need your expert hand!
