Find A Grave Memorial# 101077011, Arthur Edward Knight
Hi, I believe this may be my Great-Aunts ex-husband. Her name was Dorothy Alberta Goble, would you have any family information you can share as you have indicated his mother, father and another wife on his page. Thanks Lynn.

Allan Walter Beale
Sorry, somehow I exited the previous message accidently. To carry on - Allan died on January 7 not Jan 8. His wife's name was Elizabeth Hulbert. He was a sea Captain on Coastal Ships. Walter Percy Beale was the informant, he is a son of Allan. He was buried January 12, 1970 in Ladysmith Hospital.

If I have repeated anything, please accept my apology.

I noticed that you created some memorials next to my relatives. Will you be recording any more grave records there?

William Tomkins Collinson
this is a double question.

You have William Tomkins Collinson buried in Ross Bay Cemetery

Find A Grave Memorial# 99624720

I think that the grave is actually his uncle William Collinson ...
Collinson William / 62 y / 1890.09.05 / born Yorkshire / died Plumper Pass, BC / Block B, Plot 58 W 35

secondly, on Mayne Island, apparently there is a private cemetery - Collinson Private cemetery. and that's where WIlliam Tomkins, as well as his wife Mary, are buried. I lived on Mayne for 5 years, and I was unaware of this cemetery. But it must be there because someone sent me a photo of WIlliam TOmkins headstone.
What I'm looking for is information on whereabouts this cemetery is on the island, as well as details on who is buried there - and hopefully photos.

any thoughts on these two issues?

Lainey

RE: David L Scott
Sorry about taking so long in replying, but I did my genealogy work back in the mid 90's and had not done much until today. I found the web page where I got the information on David Scott. The web page is

http://genforum.genealogy.com/ware/messages/2540.html

This page came in from the Ware family and Lucinda Ware had married Alexander Scott.
I have three different sources giving the same wedding date of 4 December 1837. The web page has 15 October 1837. Either could be right, but I'm staying with December 4. The page has other slightly different dates, names, etc. Looking at David's Daughter, Mary Lucinda Scott's Find a Grave record the text says Lindsey was David's middle name.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgibin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=85984479

Also found a thread at http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.scott/1984.1/mb.ashx
asking for more information about a G Grandfather named David Lucinda T Scott.

Been looking for other internet data on the middle name, but had not found any as yet.

The really strange one was the last will and testament of Alexander Scott, David's Father. I have a hard copy of the written will and in the text it lists David with a middle initial of "D" (The initial D is exactly like the first letter in David's name). Why someone that witnessed the will didn't correct this I do not know. I don't believe it was David D Scott, but should be David Lucinda T Scott.
