I have spent the last 20 years researching my and my late husbands families. The Last 10 almost full time. I am rearching, Armstrong, Ladd, Moody, Lapsley, Lyon, Stewart, Wilson, Lackey, Calhoun, Irwin, Woodward to name a few. I add the family photos to share with family but if you are going to add them to other websites I would appreciate original credit. Please do not add cemetery photos to my memorials, I think the space is better suited to other things. If you have a better tombstone photo please add it. Do not add generic photos of tombstones, again the space is better spent elsewhere.

If anyone can add anything to what I have, I always apprectate help.

James W Barber FAG # 85207844
James W Barber married Biddie Reynolds on 20 Jan 1938.
The 1940 Census for Miller Co. AR lists him living with his parents, age 21. Biddie is not listed as living with him.

So, did they divorce or did she just leave him?

Judy Taylor
Family of Sam Houston Armstrong
Hi Sarah.....hope you receive this. My name is Judy Taylor. My mother is Shirley Armstrong Case. Sam Houston was her father. Her mother was Opal Jackson. Also, my Aunt Colleen Stewart was his daughter (and also Sammy was a daughter). I met you and Larry Joe years ago when ya'll came to Colleen (goes by Cokey) and her husband, Bill's home in Iowa Park, TX. Mom has mentioned on occassion that she and Cokey have wondered what happened to ya'll cause they hadn't heard from ya'll for many years. I happened to go on line and found Larry Joe's headstone and that he died in 2001.
Would like to hear from you. Didn't ya'll have a son?

I have not been able to find any record of a divorce. How ever it's strange that his memorial marker is a single marker. Maybe that's a clue.

I'll keep looking.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Plunket Armstrong
I've noticed that you have done a lot of research on the Armstrong family tree. We both have the same great (many greats) grandfather named Plunket Armstrong. I am trying to find his parents graves. I think they were buried in Australia. The cemetery was moved so a townhall could be built on it. However, they keep finding graves on the townhall site. I just wanted to know if you have any information on his parents. Thanks.

You need to contact Sheran Weible. She is the one who has read his will. She left flowers to his memorial.

RE: Young Cemetery
You and all your family are very welcome. We had noticed what we thought was a cemetery up on the high hill at its location and received permission from current land owners to ascend the hill in our van and take the photos. Those folks were very accomodating and congenial. We love this work and ever pray to be of service to others, since so many have helped us.

Kindest Regards,
Lois & Dave Ashworth
