Bio

I am from Dennison, Tuscarawas County, Ohio originally but moved away in 1977. I have taken lots of photos and will post them as time permits. My husband and I have moved back to Tuscarawas Co., Ohio.

I take digital shots but am able to print photo quality if you want a hard copy. Will gladly help you find a photo of your love one if possible.
My husband John and I are in the process of digitizing the entire Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, We have hand scanned the Deed books, plot maps and pages, section cards, name and Interned books, We hope to have a dvd of the work done someday. We have currently spent over 7500 + hours doing this and have not even touched the surface of the cemetery. We have been working with the cemetery board and caretaker to verify and correct mistakes we have found. Many graves will never be found. Earliest graves were 1837 and at that time they chose a spot and buried them. Those earliest records were supposedly lost in a fire. Recently, records for the 1837-1908 time frame were found. Work started September of 2016 to Restore the OLD Hill, this is the oldest part of the cemetery. Many stones were buried. Out of the 444 graves known to be in the Old Hill, about 250 have been located. Many tombstones were dug up, cleaned and many are being repaired and eventually reset. This part of the cemetery is in need of a lot of repair. It was being used as a dump for years. It took lots of work from the dedicated crew to clear and find the stones. Work will continue for a long time before it will be finished. If you want to help by volunteering, get in touch with the care taker. Happy Hunting,

Anyone is free to copy and use any of my info on here, If you have additional info that might help others, please let me know.
