I am in Lake County, Northeast Ohio. The Find A Grave system is wonderful for me to remember and add to the memorials of my family. |
Plus, I enjoy being a Photo Volunteer and work hard to get the photographs people request. I usually do more research than walking onto the cemetery, finding the grave and taking the picture. I try to connect what I find to those who may be unaware or little informed about family members from the past. Through my research, many families have found ancestors they did not know existed or had been unable to locate. Their joy is my reward. Thank-you's are always appreciated, too.

Brad, Thank you so much for the very clear photo of Chester's grave. This led me to his wife, Ida Harkness's grave. Much appreciate your efforts on my behalf. Pam

I would venture a guess this required some "extra" work on your part to find the headstone and then clear up the brush and clean off the stone. Thank you for your efforts.

I love the old section of the Evergreen Cemetery. I went there several times, when I lived in Ohio.
My Harvey's were Hungarian, part of the Hungarian folks in Painesville. I have Piller, Istenes, Harvey, Kallay folks in my tree.
Thanks again for your response and help.
Thank you for trying to locate a headstone for Mattie.
Her last name was Harvey not Hervey, as the records office shows. She was the daughter of my great grand aunt Theresa Piller Harvey Bender.
I appreciate your trying to find her. Her mother and family were dirt poor, so I am not surprised there is not a stone.
