First, let me say thank you to all of those who share my desire to connect with the past. With out you it would be next to impossible.|
I have been researching my family since 1999. I use the word research but its more of a gathering of information that others have posted on the web, hence my heart felt thanks above. I started out on this journey due to religious beliefs that I once held. Even though I am no longer religious, I still have the strong desire to connect and be aware of the ones who have come before me, awareness of my direct relatives and also the human race itself. I have become a lover of history. :)
A Side Note: I have all of my family members that I have found on Find A Grave listed under their surnames in the Virtual Cemetery section of my profile. There are two categories: Affinitive and Consanguineous Links. Affinitive links are members that are connected to me through a marriage, and consanguineous are blood relatives of mine or my husband.
to be continued...

|Chuck Kirk||Kirk Family|
I am related to Roger Kirk. He is related to Alphonsus Kirk who migrated to America in the late 1690's and landed in Jamestown. He went to Pennsylvania from Jamestown and settle, marrying Abigail Sharpley. Do you have any information on this line of the Kirk Family?
|Heather Gray||RICHARD MEGAHEY|
Just discovered find a grave and came across your name in relation to Richard Megahey, please go to his burial record as I have added a flower and also some history assuming the Richard McGahey is the same.

|Roxane Humphries||RE: A. Bell|
From the dates of death and death records, I'm certain that I'm descended from this Archibald Bell.
So far the only information I have is for my direct line of Bell's, no listing of brothers and sisters or other children other than Archibald b. 1620. Arkinhome, Parish of Stablegordon, Scotland d. 12 Nov 1707. Trummery, Nothern Ireland.
I have Archibald Bell as being b.1594 in Arkinhome, near the town of Langholm in the County of Dumfriedshire, Scotland. d. July 1668, Tannanghmore, Amagh, Northern Ireland(information I already had from a book that a distant cousin wrote)married to Ann Yuruns 1595-1625 but could've had more than 1 wife?
I have found American branches of the Bell family descended from Archibald Bell - his Grt Grt Grandson Richard b.16 March 1750 settled in Pennsylvania - his Grt Grt Grt Grandson Richard Bell b.1769 married Rachel Moore and settled in New York and his Grt Grt Grt Grandson Abraham (Richard's Brother)b. 1 March 1778 settled in New York as well.
As my Grandfather had 2 daughters my Aunty and my Mum and as far as I know no sons were born so my Mum is the youngest Bell on this branch of the Bell family...the contact with close cousins was lost before I was born but it has been interesting trying to find information about my ancestry (I have tried to concentrate on all lines and so far all except 1 have been in Australia for 7 generations).
I hope that this information is helpful.

Hi Amber that would be great if you can transfer that information.
Thanks for your help anyway.
|Roxane Humphries||Archibald Bell b. 1594 d. 1668|
Hi Amber as I'm unable to find your profile and there are no Bell's listed in your surname list...was wondering whether you or your husband are descended from Archibald.
I have just recently received the find a grave hint on ancestry.com.au.
Archibald Bell was my 9th Great Grandfather on my Mother's paternal family - the information I've managed to find is that he was born in Arkinhome, near the town of Langholm in the County of Dumfriedshire, Scotland. From information gleaned from other family members research into the Bell family, the family was given the opportunity to purchase land in Ireland because where they lived in Scotland was close to the Irish border and they wanted to remove peasants from the land, so they offered land to landowners in Scotland!
His 5th Great Grandson Richard Bell, (my Grt Grt Grt Grandfather) immigrated to South Australia from Ireland in 1840.
Any further information that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
You sent some changes to various Helton's interred at Aberry Helton Cem in Woodbine, Knox Co., KY.
I'm wondering if you are a Helton by birth or marriage? I am a Helton by marriage and would like to see if we are related. My Helton's are from that area of Kentucky.

Thanks so much for the transfer.

I don't see a problem with fixing the stone.
It's possible that the stone is safer lying down than to be incorrectly fixed
