Bio

I'm a Kansas City, KS, native that started doing genealogy research at the National Archives in the 80s. What a delight when the internet opened up and blew everything open!

Some of the families I research include: Brock, Wallace, Mansell, Bennett, Lefever, Madison, Black, Shafer, Kerns, Freeman, Meyer, House, Taylor, Shultz & Frauenhoff.

If I have a memorial that belongs to your family I'll be happy to place them with you. Due to health reasons I'm not able to fill many photo requests but when I visit a cemetery I always check to see if there are any plots that need added.

Any pics I've posted are in the "family domain". If you are related to that person, I authorize your usage of the pics taken by me on that family member's memorial.

I appreciate everyone's help in correcting or adding to the memorials I hold and am grateful to those who were kind enough to fulfill photo and/or transfer requests for me.

Happy tree climbing ya'll - and God bless.

Dear Ancestor:
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
So many years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
