Bio

I am a retired nurse and am currently devoting most of my time to family research.
I embarked on my genealogical quest over thirty years ago. My mother died in 1988 and left behind a small treasure trove of interesting letters, post cards and newspaper clippings. The most interesting letters dated back to the Civil War. I had to know who these people were. I discovered that I am a direct and indirect descendant from about half of the first settlers in Hartford, Connecticut in 1635 (on my mother's side). I have since filled two filing cabinets with records and family files, and have over 25,000 people in my database.
The first time I walked into a cemetery and found a family name, I was hooked. I learned that most people hate cemeteries. I love them.
Most of my entries are family, or extended family. If I have made any errors, please let me know and I will correct them. If you are more closely related to any of the people I have entered, please feel free to ask for a transfer, following FAG guidelines. Just click the edit tab in the upper right-hand corner of the memorial and leave me a message.
