When I was in grade school, my father helped me prepare a family tree for a class project. That is when my desire to learn more about my family began.
In the early part of the 1980s, I became a member of DAR and several other genealogy societies. My paternal grandmother and great-grandmother were both DAR members, having joined in 1914.
