"We inherit from our ancestors gifts so often taken for granted... Each of us contains within us this inheritance of soul. We are links between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories and future promise."
- Edward Sellner -
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone,
The name and date are chiseled out
In weathered red sandstone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist.
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
Two hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder where you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

- They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them. -

I saw where you had left several photos for members of the Phillips' family in Sac County. John Ira Phillips was the grandfather of my uncle, Ray. - Red

sorry the pic is from so far away
I couldnt find a ladder over there and it is on the top row, about 12 ft high at least
|Louis Roth||RE: Garrehy|
I looked at that panel but will go back with a ladder in case it is up high
|Jerry Hurlbert||Hey, wait a minute !!|
Yours predates mine .... please take mine off and use yours, too much stuff to try to move. I get to keep the cemetery photo to keep my ego up.
She's all yours. If I can provide any local info, let me know. You might try working on Find A Grave management regarding the listed location of the cemetery as Lewiston instead of Weaverville. Thank you for pursuing the non-duplication ethic. .... Jerry
I added a photo of the marker to the memorial.

Just drawing your attention to a duplicate memorial. I did inform Damon Fisher of the duplication but he left it and then went ahead and 'borrowed' my photos from your memorial. I informed him of the Find A Grave rules that his must be deleted Memorial 126448168

this is the wood lawn web site. I was checking what I had on findagrave against their list and adding memorials for those that are missing. I'm adding the funeral service date in the note section. and including anything different from the HS, memorial.
Your lizzie had a different spelling too. I like passing on any info that somebody might want to use.
