Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from US Army and retired from US Civil Service. Currently serving as Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance Represenative for Elmore County Alabama. I have been interested in finding the location Revolutionary Soldiers and Confederate Soldiers buried in Elmore, Coosa, and Tallapoosa Counties. To date I have located over 1500 soldiers buried in the tri-county area.

Kimbell Cemetery, Elmore Co.
Hi - you posted the photo of Willie Powell. He may have been the grandson of Christopher Wesley Powell and Cyrene Brannen Powell. Cyrene supposedly died Dec 30, 1881 and is buried in this cemetery. (variously spelled as Serina, Cerinna, etc). There are unmarked graves there. Do you know of anyone who is researching that cemetery? Thx - RB

HENRY CLAY DILLARD
Billie T. Thank you for the picture. That would be my Great Great Grandfather who I just found out about as a result of the unwarranted hoobla over the confederate flag. My research showed that he was buried at Atioch and that triggered my fond memories of family reunions held there when i was a little tike. Thank you again.

Ellis Harden marker
Hello,
The marker you have for Ellis Harden #35096134 also shows the dates for his wife, Eliza Harden at the bottom. I've created a memorial for her (I am of relation). Would you mind posting your photo to her memorial as well? I have her linked to his memorial

Thanks!

Billie-Thank you for adding my 2nd Great Grandfather's grave to the site. (James Z Alford). As you can see, he was a Confederate Soldier and was wounded (lost an arm and an eye) during the war. He was on leave when the war ended recovering from his injuries.

Again, thank you for taking the time to honor him.

Parents of Walter Terry Colquitt
I was trying to find the names of his mother and father for my family tree. I know that this is the father of my great grandmother, Laura Octavia Colquitt Gantt. I have found a genology online that lists two Walter Terry Colquitts and they were half brothers with their father being Alfred Holt Colquitt. I would appreciate it if you could confirm or provide any additional information that you might know of.
Thanks,
Kelli

RE: Wall, H. F.
Thank you, Billie, I appreciate you checking on this for me. I now have Henry F. (Franklin) Wall, (my G-Grand Uncle) in Claud with his brother (my G-Grandfather) PVT. George Thomas Wall (33951203). Now, if I could just find my G-Grandmother, Virginia A. Jackson Wall, I would celebrate.

I do know where it is, but that's about it, although I am sure I have been through there in my lifetime.
