Good afternoon!! I am looking for Taylor, Stalnaker, Coberly, Thompson (WV), Platt's (NY, CT), and Radice's and Fabrizio's (Wash DC).
That goofy kid in my picture is my son, Alex. He is my research buddy, and my cemetery companion. I picked him up from school one day and said "We have to hurry, we have to go home." And he shouts at the top of his lungs "I don't want to go home! I want to go where the dead people are!" Oh, kids!
One of my favorite things to do is to find those poor lost family cemeteries out in the woods, or in a forgotten field. I figure they must be related to someone, and I love to clean them up. Work my friend Courtney and I have done: Estes Family, Wright Family, Turner-Stone Family, Taylor Family, Turner #1 Family, Gillaspie Family, Brooks
Hannah B Parsons THANK YOU!!!! for posting the photo of the gravestone of Hannah in the Rocheport City Cemetery. I have been searching for her grave for years and never thought to look in Missouri. She is my third great grandmother!
If you have any further information on her grave such as who bought the plot or stone, I would love to have it.
Good afternoon Tom. I am going to have to say that the information regarding the middle initial was probably given to be by Cecelia Lee, the same who gave me the rest of the info listed in John's bio section. Hope this helps.
Birthdate I was doing some research on the Summerfield side of the family and working on children of Tallman Stalnaker and Melvina Summerfield. I cam across a Mary Alice Stalnaker married to Nimrod Taylor. According to West Virginia Culture her birthdate is 2/2/1870. I submitted a change just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the pictures on the site!! Tina M. Yoder
Taylor Family Iowa Hello! I am interested in the Taylor Family Cemetery there in Boone County, Missouri as I believe Tilford Taylor was a brother of Joshua Taylor, my 2nd Great Grandfather. They were sons of Daniel Taylor. The family came from Logan County Kentucky. Daniel and Tilford went to Missouri and Joshua came to Iowa. I have much information about the Iowa Taylors for 5 generations. Are there other Taylors buried in the Taylor Cemetery there? There is a Taylor Pioneer Cemetery here, too, in Greene County, Iowa. Thank you for information!
Spieler/Farris I see you posted some stones for Speiler in Mo and I am looking for a Spieler/Farris connection for an old picture I found of a Grandmother Spieler and her grandchildren..Emily, E???, Ernest and Roger Farris. I found it in a small museum in Morgan County, MO and they had no families listed with these names so they sold it. I often connect pictures with descendants when the pictures speak to me. Thanks for you input.
