I am currently working on Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Illinois. It had 730 memorials when I started and I estimate that it will have over 5000 when I am finished. I may be done by 2015.|
Please don't add info in the flowers section. Use the edit tab and include the information there. An email will be sent to me with the info. I can add the info then. thx
Family surnames I am interested in are Carnahan, Hathaway, Wheeling, Dare, Lively, House, Shingleton, Reed, King, Wilson, Francis, Horton, Young, West.

No problem, thanks for reviewing my updates. I use my iPhone for the GPS data and occasionally it seems a bit off to me. Its probably time for an upgrade...
|Larry G. Flesher||RE: Archibald Tennison|
All info I can find says he is buried in the Sunlight Cemetery, Belgrade, MO together with his two wives.
|Tritt Girl||William Moses Russell|
Hello, May I please use the headstone photo you provided for William Moses Russell, on my Ancestry.com tree & in my personal files?
Little Eddie Garris.
Sorry for the multiple entries but the Find A Grave program doesn't allow enough time for me to enter both parents before it automatically "ENTER"s
FYI I knew Eddie well. He fell from the back of a watermelon truck, which had just harvested his father's crop, onto the concrete surface of Highway 3 a half-mile west of Glenn and died of head injuries in the Murphysboro hospital three days later
|Paul Hoyt||RE: Walter Young|
You're welcome David. My wife and I were going by Buchanan about dusk the other day, and I thought I'd take a quick look at it. I always look for the most vulnerable markers to photograph first, and you can't get any more vulnerable than Walter's. If anyone bumps it, those letters will scatter and be gone.
Thank you for all of the work that you do! I see your name everywhere!
|Martin Lawlor||Edmond St. Vrain|
Hi again, I want to thank you for posting that information on Edmond St. Vrain. He married Mary Jane Guthrie April 30, 1872. Edmond was the son of Savinien St. Vrain and his first wife, Francios Virginie Menard, and Mary Jane Guthrie (my great great grand aunt)was a younger sister of Virginia Guthrie St. Vrain, Savinien's second wife. Up to now I only knew that Edmond had died around 1874, it's nice to finally have his exact date of death.
Also you posted a picture of a stone for Son St. Vrain of Edward and Mary J., died Nov. 7, 1875, age 3 years. Edmond and Mary Jane Guthrie St. Vrain had a son, Edmond Rudolph St. Vrain, b. July 2, 1872 who would have been 3 years old in 1875. I believe that Son St. Vrain may be their son Edmond born in 1872. And that stone appears to be located near to Edmond's stone. I don't know what happened to Mary Jane, she died sometime after 1881. May Jane (she may have remarried) was b. Oct. 28, 1834.
Again, thanks for all that you do. As a genealogist I really appreciate it. And I hope you don't mind if I download the pictures of the gravestones to a add to my guthrie family history.
|Tammy Carnahan||Question on dates|
You have a William Carnahan born 1600 died Feb 1640.
However you have a son who was born after his death James Carnahan born,1643. I am sure it is a type O, however if possible could your edit the information.

It was my pleasure to get the photos. Hopefully at some point in the future we can get out there with a little gardening equipment and clean it up a bit if landowners don't mine! st

|Vicki G||RE: Mahala Dare|
I found the stone for Mahala Dare next to James Dare. The cemetery was recently mowed & with all the rain, the grass covered it. I did not like my photo so will go back, clean the stone off & get a better one. There were a few more Dare's nearby, if their photos are not posted I will post them also.
