I'm starting to see way too many headstones being cleaned. This troubles me. It is not your responsibility to touch or disturb a headstone. Cleaning them with a power washer is on so many levels of wrong it scares me. Using any detergent is also wrong, especially bleach as it seeps into the cracks of the stone and weakens it until it will crumble. |
Soap and water and elbow grease with a soft bristled brush are the only things you should use. NO DETERGENTS, BLEACH, or HIGH PRESSURE WASHERS!

Thank you very much Paul for your help in getting me started. I hope to add more information in the future as time permits and my learning curve is improved with the findagrave system.

Hi. Thought you might like to know that "B." was a nickname. Isaac gave all the children and grandchildren nicknames.
B's full name was Miles Berry. (I imagine that is where the "B" came from.)
My late husband was Dareth Athol, grandson of Steve Marion, and before he passed had been doing research on the family.
Hope this helps. Thanks

|Hunter Porter||Raymer family|
Would you allow me to manage all of Issac Raymer's children's profiles that you have and also all of Abraham Raymer's Children? They are my Grandpas and there children are my family.
|Hunter Porter||Issac Marion Raymer|
Will you please transfer me Issac Marion Raymer's profile? He is my 2nd great grandpa. Thank you so much.
|Russ Hudson||John B Yontz|
Saw your request for this person in the Lutheran Graveyard in Shepherdstown, WVA. There is a gravestone for a Jacob Yontz, Died Mar 27, 1869 aged 51 yrs & 23 days. Is this who you are looking for perhaps?
|Gary & Bobbie Biermann||Nergis Lafayette Dorway|
I see in your profile that you are working on the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. I'm glad to hear that. I also hope that it means pictures. If so you might give a little extra consideration to Mr. Dorway (Find A Grave Memorial# 147159021).
Yesterday I sent you some updated information about his wife, their dates, maiden name, etc. The "Cemeteries of Randolph County" book shows the spelling of his name to be Nergis. However, after I sent you that change I found in the 1940 census that it was spelled as Nercis. Also spelled the same way on his marriage license.
Keep up the good work and thanks.

|ward ford oliver||John Ward #89811689|
Hi! Thank You for posting this grave! It is the only one of the Wards I have found. I added the photo of John. I have many more, he was the brother of my great grandmother. I was close to my great grandma (she died when I was 20) & my father remembers uncle John. If you do transfers I would love to have him.
|Deb Armstrong Menken||Amanda Armstrong (Evergreen Cemetary)|
I'm trying to figure out if this is my great grandmother. Is there anyway you can contact me?
