I was born and raised in Halifax County, Virginia, son of William Carl (Sam) Stanfield and Frances Jones Stanfield. I am related to the Stanfield, Jones, Cliborne, Wilkins, Warren, and Trickey families of Halifax County VA. I now live in Stone County, Mississippi with my wife Pam. I am related to the Smith and Dale families on my wife's side here in Stone County. I am the cemetery coordinator and Music Director at Ten Mile Baptist Church in Perkinston. I am also an Engineer with the Wiggins Fire Department. I retired from the USAF in 1996 and currently work as a bus driver for the Forrest County School District.
