Finally back home in Florida after a 30+ year government career took me all across this great country. I always enjoyed searching local cemeteries for ancestors. My East Coast paternal families are KEEN and HART; my West Coast maternal families are WHITMAN and GARVIN. I find it fascinating seeing how my paternal side moved from New England south state-by-state across the generations, while my maternal side moved from New England west state-by-state across the generations! And, I love linking the history of our great country with the lives in my family tree -- the famous, average, obscure, and infamous!!
