Hello, I am a volunteer with The Madison County Genealogical & Historical Society in Huntsville, Arkansas, and am actively involved in historical and genealogical research for Madison County, Arkansas, (and a little bit into surrounding counties). I also work on enumerating Madison County cemeteries for publication. This involves visiting each cemetery and recording the tombstone information. One of my special projects at this time is to obtain GPS coordinates for all of the cemeteries in Madison County, by visiting each cemetery, standing in the center of the cemetery, & using a GPS to obtain the coordinates. Madison County has over 260 known burial sites and/or cemeteries. Many of them are located on remote old homesteads, and we know of several that have already been lost when the land was bulldozed. These GPS coordinates will assure that the location of these burials will be forever recorded, even if the tombstones are lost. Our Society's library has a tremendous amount of research material. Our Society has many of Madison County's cemeteries in book form. Contact me for more information. Please visit our library if you are in this area.

If you have any questions about the graves that I have posted, please feel free to e-mail me. I'm always glad to help if I can
