My interest in genealogy started in 1960 when my dad and my maternal grandmother helped me fill out the family tree in my Bible. I've met so many wonderful people over the years that have made a difference in my life as a result of my interest in genealogy. I live a long ways from my roots, but I can still feel a part of my heritage through the many opportunities to share genealogy information over the internet.

I grew up at Prosperity. My paternal grand-parents, two uncles, several cousins, and other people that I knew are buried at the Prosperity Cemetery. A big hug goes to the person who set up this cemetery site. Thank you. Another hug goes to Sharon for all the memorials she's added to this site. Thank you for motivating me once I saw your contribution.

As I learn about others buried at the Prosperity Cemetery, I will continue to add names of those individuals who we don't want to forget. Please write to me if you find any errors in the information that I've added or if you have a special connection to Prosperity.

John Williams' father David Williams
I have seen either David's signature or his name written which included a middle name beginning with "Chap....". The last half was unclear. Have you run across this?

RE: James & Annie Evans
Oh okay. I thought you might be relation to them since you had a photocopy of James Evans's obituary. Thank you for the photos, and for all your hard work!

James & Annie Evans
Hello,

I was just wondering if you are related to James Evans #33278515? He and wife Annie J. Wood are my husband's great grandparents. :)

Thanks,
Leslie Acord

Would you add a family link to Margaret Rose Johnson (#34798538) and her mother, Susan Virginia Mallory Rose Leslie (#95937492)? Thanks!

William Jordan Hurt and Martha Jane Hurt (Evans)
Could you transfer my great great great grandparents William Jordan Hurt and Martha Jane Hurt (Evans) to me because they taper the parents of my mother Hazel Mae Gunnoe (Hurt), which she is now listed as a child under both of them in there graves.

re: forgot to make a couple updates for you
Not to worry. I started saving copies of everything I send a few months ago. When I get time I check up on them a see if changes/additions were made and then repeat requests if not. Probably won't be doing that again until Jan. Best to you on your project. I have enjoyed your online pages when I run across them- very well done! My goal is to get all Raleigh county cemeteries located with maps/directions on Find A Grave. Big project is adding all Sunset graves too. Also, helping with Fayette & Raleigh Counties Genealogical Society on FB as they plan to print cemetery books for both counties. I think similar to the Pauline Haga books of the 1970's. Anything you can do to help will be appreciated. Merry Christmas if I don't hear from you for awhile.

re: Walter Bailey and Margaret
Just to let you know I am not ignoring your request for info on Margaret. Not sure of your question as to what you specifically want to know. A lot of info is from you yourself. I am not family so I can't go to an ancestry tree and check my sources. I am interested in the early families, their graveyards, etc. I try to find a cemetery, such as I did with Sparriel Bailey, and then try to link them all together.
