Hello from New Mexico.|
I've been excavating and cataloging pioneer cemeteries for over 30 years. In the 1980s I even published a few works on the subject. Like most of you, I'm also an avid genealogist. While I enjoy finding the graves of famous people, I'm more interested in the common soldier and pioneer. Every one of them has a story.
As for genealogy, I am currently working on the surnames Trine, Minter, Dozier, Shackleford and Marquez. I'm also collecting the names and graves of the Maryland 6th Infantry.
I'm usually "on the road," so my photos come from wherever I happen to be. I've had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of wonderful people who share this love for history. Contact me if I can be of any help to you.
ABOUT TRANSFERS: I am happy to transfer anyone who is not my direct ancestor.

|Walter C. Burgner||RE: Francis & Mary Stevenson|
It was so "very thoughtful" of you to take the time and energy to clean the tombstones of Francis and Mary Ford Stevenson. I know that my wife, Mary Catherine Vermillion Burgner would have appreciated the "kindness" you have shown for her ancestors. I'm sorry to say that my wife "passed away" on November 6, 2013. She was also interested in the genealogy of her ancestors. Again "Thank You" so much for the time you have shown.

I want to "Thank You" so very much in finding the tombstone of Francis Stevenson. I know it wasn't an easy task to perform. The tombstone is "very old" and the condition of the stone is not the best. Again "Thank You" for taking the time and effort to find the stone.

Hello, your memorials of the above and his wife are a duplicate of mine..however I'm glad to delete mine because you have more information, but wondered if you would like to copy any info that I have that you don't before I do that. I'm from Southfield where my kin are buried and have also studied the early pioneers of that area, posting their memorials on the local cemeteries. Mine is spelled "Jeffrey"
