Bio

I spent a little over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force flying C-130's and KC-10's as a flight engineer, then worked and flew for the airlines as an A & P, flight engineer, and commercial pilot, for 15 years and still counting. I fly general aviation aircraft for fun, as well as sometimes for vacations and business. I am looking to retire from my airline career in the near future. I have started to work in the real estate field part time for the last three years, and plan to go into it full time once I leave the airlines.I am interested in the genealogy of my family. The names I am most interested in are: Moon, Toppel, Herper, Barris, Stack, Spice, Swager, von Asten, and Brown. I have a direct unbroken line on my line of the Moon's back to the very early 1600's in England. My line of Moon's came over from England as Quakers on a boat called the Bristol Merchant in 1682, that sailed out of Bristol, England. They sailed one month behind William Penn, a friend of their's, who was on a ship called the Welcome. My relatives have fought in every war this country has been involved in since the mid 1700's, to include both sides of the Civil War.I really like Find A Grave as I have found some very nice people here, who will bend over backwards to help folks out. This web site is administered very reverently and in good taste. It is a nice place to create a memorial to honor your loved ones and friends who have passed, as well as a great place for people interested in genealogy to do research, or help others in their searches.
