Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in genealogy back in 1997 when i wanted to find information about my biological father and my ancestors on his side. After finding some info on him i was hooked and haven't lost interest...seems the more i find the more i want to know, plus i enjoy helping others with their research.

RE: Joan Moore Baxter
Forgot to mention that the other person that crafted the other memorial for Joan Baxter is deceased. Not sure how to go about taking care of it now...any thoughts?

RE: Joan Moore Baxter
You are so welcome. I'm glad to contribute to this site to keep information correct.
Fred Baxter is buried in the Marble Cemetery in Saranac, Mi., near Grand Rapids. All three of his boys lived & died in the GR area and he was in GR when he passed away. Not sure why but his whole family lived and died in that area.
I will build that relationship soon on
Thanks for all you do on this site, you have done tons!
Are you a local? I'm trying to find the one that would have the legal files of burials in Inland Cemetery. I think there is someone buried there but they aren't on
I appreciate your help.

Joan Moore
Hi Sharon,

I would like to correct the Bio of my great grandmother, Joan Baxter (#36098643). The information evidently came from the 1940 Census.
Joan & Fred both had 3 children from their previous marriages. Joan's children were the 2 girls, Minnie & Violet Tompkins. Fred's children were the 3 boys, Benjamin, Francis & Guy Baxter.
They had one daughter together, Pearl Baxter, who is my grandmother.
Great Grandmother, Joan Baxter, was 13 yrs old when she was married to her first husband, George E. Tompkins, not Fred Baxter. And, Fred was 24 when he married his 1st wife, Elizabeth McCauley.
And finally, the last line designates Evelyn A. 11, as a daughter. She was Fred and Joan's granddaughter. Evelyn is my mother and was the daughter of Pearl Baxter & Herbert M. Carpenter.
Also, I believe there is a duplicate Memorial for Joan Baxter - #36906569.
Thanking you in advance for your attention to this message,
Sharon Neumann

Sharon, I am having major issues with my computer and printer so haven't been able to add all the information you have sent lately. I promise it will get done eventually. Janet

RE: Ron
You're welcome! I have no connection, so I'd rather the memorial be in the hands of someone who does!

Mt. Calvary Cemetery records
I overstated records were moved to Lake Leelanau.
They are in the adoration chapel between the church and old school at Holy Rosary, only open mornings.

RE: John Donald Mikowski death and parents
I not saying you're wrong, I just have questions
raised up by what was passed to me. My info. may be 100 % wrong,I got to dig into the records to satisfy my own knowledge.

RE: John Donald Mikowski # 3
I guess I'm going to get more to either back your idea of parents or the other John Mikowski, by getting the records from Holy Rosary wherever they may be or county records.

RE: John Mikowski brother
Alphonse Mikowski is in St. Mary's Cem. in Muskegon.
Do not confuse him with Anthony Alphonse Mikowski
in St. Mary's in Lake Leelanau.. I've met his children over the years, classic Corvairs and such.
His daughter(deceased) married a classmate from grade and high school, but divorced and he ended up in Arizona.
