Bio

I have been doing research since 2003. I enjoy teaching genealogy to Boy Scouts. My son enjoys doing research along with me. I have inspired my mother and aunt to help me with my research. By getting my son interested in genealogy and learning about ancestors that fought in the civil war it has inspired him to join a Boy Scout Venture crew that focuses on living history (civil war and Indian Wars). He eventually has gotten me involved and we are very involved in lots of Civil War reenactments around Texas. He has also gotten the chance to participate in several National 150th events. The tip I have for every genealogist is don't wait for the time to do things, make time before it is to late! I have lost out on a lot of valuable information by waiting until I had the time. Yes, I know that using shaving cream on headstones is wrong. The pictures that I have posted that have shaving cream on them were taken very early in my research before I knew better. I regret it but there is nothing I can do about it exept not do it again and make sure those I talk with know not to do it either.Surnames: Whitsitt, Sivley, Gaines, Blount, White, Bryant, Corbin, and Barber.
