Bio and Links
Bio Photo The fourth daughter of Laurie Thackston Davis & Betty Miranda Robinson Davis. I was born and raised in Orangeburg, Orangeburg County, SC along with my three sisters. Maternal grandparents were Shellie Johnson Robinson, Sr. & Grace Edith Golson Robinson of Murph Mill Road, St. Matthews, Calhoun County, SC. Paternal Grandparents were Luther Edgar Davis & Margaret Elnora Rowell Davis of Norway, Orangeburg County, SC. Please visit our precious little grandbaby, Jordan, that the Lord saw fit to remain in heaven with Him and the angels. Jordan Hannah Perez

Married to Craig Hannah, mother of Miranda Hannah, stepmother of Alisha, Daniel (Bubba), Mark and David Hannah. Bubba, Mark and David were U. S. Marines and all proudly served this great nation of ours. On January 24, 2014, Alisha made me a grandmother with the arrival of Gabriel (G. J.) Perez, Jr. What a joyous occasion! In January 2015, Craig and I traveled to El Paso for G. J.'s first birthday. He's getting so big and absolutely the handsomest little boy around. I'm so glad God saw fit to let me stay on this Earth a little while longer to enjoy my grandson. In November 2015, we got back from a week and a half motorcycle visit to see G. J. and all the Texas young'uns! Yes, I said motorcycle visit to Austin, Texas! I had my doubts as to whether I could do it in two days coming back, but I did! Spending time with G. J. and the kids was wonderful early Thanksgiving and Christmas present rolled into one!

Colorectal Cancer Survivor here! In January 2011 my family's world was turned upside down by the news that I had colorectal cancer. My father died from colon cancer in 1992. He had been diagnosed at 58 so my sisters and I were aware that we would need to start colonoscopies at the age of 48. Ten years from your direct line ancestor is the norm. (My daughter will need to start colonoscopies at 35.) I was 45 when I was diagnosed due to symptoms that I noticed. I had the operation to remove the rectal cancer plus a little over a foot of my colon on March 1st and I started chemotherapy on April 13th. My chemotherapy ended on October 7, 2011 after only two small setbacks. Even though my father had chemo with his cancer, you don't realize Exactly what a person goes through Daily with all the changes to your body that chemo does. God Bless my Daddy! The further along in your chemo regime, the more the chemo attacks other body functions and muscles. As my husband put it, chemo really is just fumigating for any cancer bugs that may be roaming around in your body. At least in my case that was what was happening. Fortunately, I am blessed with an outstanding husband, children and family (my sister, Beth was there every day encouraging me and worrying about me) that were with me helping me complete my chemo journey. Now, over 4 years later, I still deal with day to day issues; however, I am here and I'm getting on with life despite my 2011 journey. In 2015, I'm finally at a point that I feel pretty good which is a blessing in itself. My last scan was May 22, 2015 and they are now going to let me go 8 months before another scan. Small steps, but good steps in the correct direction! Please, please, get those colonoscopies when they are due at 50. They really aren't as bad as they used to be and you don't want to have to deal with the alternative....take it from someone who has been there!

God Bless Each And Every One Of You! ~Laurie~

RE: Redmonds
Hey! Hope you have a great Christmas.

I was looking at your Redmon(d) virtual cemetery and my grandfather, Tyrone Hyram Redmond is not on there. His memorial number is 74803055. I'm still looking to see if there's anyone else missing from my line and will let you know.

We have to get together and discuss Redmon(d) notes.

Thanks
Melinda

You didn't have to do that, but thank you! That was really nice of you.

I promise to take good care of it!

Thanks for all you do.

Elsie (and Willette) Cirmella
Thank you for sending me the update for Elsie Cirmella's mom. I've updated it now.

I had no idea "Aunt Billie" passed away. Are you related? (I'm only distantly related, and I hate to say that our side hasn't done a very good job of staying in touch with everyone.) Thank you for letting me know.

Laurie, Jaunita is my Aunt and all the Pedersens that I listed in Crescent Hill are my Aunts and Uncles. I did not see your memorial when I posted mine. If you don't mind would you allow mine to stay?

RE: Transfers
You are welcome. I checked a bit of info and added to the Lovan family in Maple Park also sent you an edit for Marshall as to his parents. Some years ago I was so tired of trying to find my brick walls and decided that I should put memorials in findagrave to aid someone to find a brick wall. It has been wonderful to get all those that did find someone because the memorial was there. It sure makes me feel good. Maybe someday someone will be doing a kindness and my worst brick walls will tumble because of it. Let me know if you want anymore of them via the edit button and I will transfer. Where ever you are hope that is better weather than here. We had awful ice and people had trouble getting home...it is cold and expecting more bad weather. It may delay my taking the photo request in Hazelwood Cemetery as it has been awfully cold. But it will be okay. The memorial requested does not have any monument anyway. Not even known for sure which grave plot she is in, only the lot number. I will be able to take a photo of the whole lot though....retired ya know, jest gotta do sumpun.

Thank you!
I remain shocked by the loss of Mrs. Marcia Hamin-Robinson to such an act of senseless violence. She is not forgotten even on the day after what would have been her 54th birthday Thank you for the photos/record submission to findagrave.com. Please also accept my condolences for the loss of your Aunt.
