THIS IS A CEMETERY

Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and live is undisguised. This is a cemetery.

Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.

Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people - a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.

Eliza Sellers Segrest #48957439
Thank you for sharing her gravesite with us.
Eliza was the daughter of Andrew Sellers and Dorothy Beniger Sellers. She was christened on 20 January 1810. This information can be found in the book called: The Church Records of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Orangeburg County, South Carolina and "The Red Church" by Anne Martin Haigler. Eliza had a sister named Mary Sellers Rodgers Smith who was christened on 27 Oct. 1811 and died in MS before 1860. She had a half-brother, John J. Sellers who was christened on 17 August 1800 and died c. 1875 in Smith Co. or Covington Co., MS.

Thank you for the transfers of these two family members. I will be working on good biographies for both of them and will do my best to see their records have informative and educational information that hopefully will be appreciated by others.
