Greetings! I am retired U.S. Coast Guard, 27 years, 9 months and 4 days service (4 years U.S. Navy) originally from Macon, Georgia, living near Nashville, Tennessee. I've always loved strolling through cemeteries looking at individual graves and wondering what kind of person lies resting at my feet. I can stroll cemetaries for hours without getting bored. I love Military History, specifically the Civil War, as my g-g-grandfathers fought for the Confederacy; however, I have a soft spot for ALL veterans and children. I have traced my lineage paternally to Ulster Scots emigrating from Ireland in the early 1700s, first to Pennsylvania then to North Carolina and eventually to Wilcox County, Georgia by the early 1800s. Maternally, I am first-generation Italian/Croatian. Those of you who leave flowers for any of my memorials or simply visit, I wish to thank you in advance. If I leave flowers for your loved one(s), no thanks is necessary, but if you feel the need to reply please do so. God bless us all.
RE: Happy Thanksgiving! HI, since I missed the Thanksgiving Holiday message until now, I wish you a warm and wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year. I have been away and not on here much lately, have been so busy with a remodel project on a small old home. All is well with us, as I hope it is with you and yours.
