Bio

I started researching my family history in August 2008. My husband asked me why I was so interested in genealogy. I told him it was like putting a puzzle together. I do not see it as morbid but simply researching history. I believe that I am honoring them by looking at their headstone, looking them up to see how they may or may not be related to my family. People who have been gone for years and years are almost alive again! By photographing their headstone, I hope that the photo will go on forever - longer than their stone will last.

Many of the stones I have photographed are not my relatives. I know how excited I get when I find that someone has photographed a headstone of a family member so I have photographed many headstones so that the photo may help others with their research. If you are related I would be happy to transfer the memorial to your care. You need only ask.

Please let me know if you find an error, as we are all human and therefore errors will happen. I know how important it is to get it right and I appreciate 'kind' requests to correct transcribing errors.

If you want to update a memorial with additional information please let me know. If I cannot substantiate the information I may suggest that you take ownership of the memorial.
