I have studied family histories beginning 1977. I published my Brown & Sullivan family history book in 2005.
As a western historian and author I have written many articles for True West and Wild West History Association magazines.
In May, 2013 UNT Press, Denton, TX published our book "A Lawless Breed, John Wesley Hardin, Texas Reconstruction, and Violence in the Wild West," a biography. I also authored "Early Settlers of the Panhandle Plains in 2013, published by Arcadia's Images of America. Then I published "Life on the Texas Frontier, 1855-1880. My Family came out of North & South Carolina to settle in many states. Primary surnames, Brown, Dixon, Sullivan, and Strickland.
