If I have added a family member or friend of yours and you want me to transfer it to you, just send me a note in a "Suggest a Correction." I do not have a sense of entitlement to the memorials I put on here. As volunteers we should be grateful for the memorials that family members are caretakers of. If you would, please let me know how you knew the deceased just for my own personal knowledge as well as your Contributor ID number.|
I have four children of my own and another that I am raising as mine. They are the most amazing five children ever. My three "littles" are in 10th grade, 8th grade and 7th grade. My "bigs" are 24 and 23. My daughter who is 24 is recently married and a special needs assistant at an elementary school. My son who is 23 is currently a crew chief in the Air Force but will soon be training for TacP. They are my life wholly and completely.
I also had a FABULOUS granny that meant everything to me. She is bar none the most amazing woman I have ever known. She is the reason I do this. All my life my granny made sure that her family was never forgotten. She has made me feel as if I know family members I have never met. Keeping family memories and histories alive is what this is all about.
After all, we are nothing without our ancestors.
On February 9th, 2010, my Granny, Livvie Bilbrey McCowan, passed away. Her daughter Ina McCowan Blanch was my grandma. Please visit their memorials if you have the time. I miss them so much and they were both truly some of the greatest women who have ever lived.
Also, please visit my step-dad, Jack David McKenzie's memorial too. Anything you left would tremendously help my mother with the grieving process. I have just introduced her to this site and she finds it cathartic.
I lost my mother unexpectedly at age 59 on October 14, 2012. I will never be the same again. Please visit her, Bobbie Darlene McKenzie if you have the chance and read about her. I never knew anything could hurt so bad.
Some of my family names are Gregg, Bilbrey, Phipps, Brown, McCowan, Phillips, Crawford, Kennedy, Smart, Ingram, Meer, Shull and Harvey.

|Vivian Bauer||Applauding your beautiful family tributes.|
Hi Crystal, I just wanted to say I so enjoyed reading about your family. Your Mom's was the most beautiful I have ever read, and I have read thousands. The way the love you have for your family flows from your heart and out through your pen is amazing. Thank you for sharing.

You entered the above person in the Granville Cemetery, Granville, Delaware, Indiana & also took the photo of his marker. I tried enlarging it & I already had believed he was the son of Amos Wilson (1770) & Anna Mills Wilson (1772). I believe I could just barely make out that he was the son of "Amos". I also was wondering about the death date because I think it looks like a "59" at the very edge of the right side of the marker.
I am wondering if you might still have that photo & would be able to enlarge it more than I could on my computer? I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask.
He was b. in 1807 & m. Lydia Atrim on 31 Aug 1842. But that's all I know at this point except his parents. I will have to research him to see if I can find more.
Thank you for your very caring work in regards to this cemetery & I'm sure others also.
Carlene (I did leave a "flower" on his page so you can contact me with any thoughts. Thank you)

|Martha Earles||Connie S. Baldwin|
Crystal, My high school class of 1959 is to have our 55th class reunion in September and we were searching for Connie Sue Worsham Hart and I was told by her son, Mike Hart, that she died in 1997 in Muncie (Delaware Co., IN)under the name of Baldwin. I was searching for an obit so that we can be absolutely sure that this is the correct Connie Baldwin. Is there an office connected with the grave yard that I might contact? It is terrible that we did not know that she had passed at such an early date. Thank you for doing the memorial.
Martha Earles, researcher and possible classmate.

My wife has several ancestors in Granville Cemetery and you are right about its condition and location. Henry Dick, who you entered, is her great great grandfather, and his wife Emela is her great great grandmother. We have been to their monument. Her brother and his sister are nearby, James and Mercy Flinn. The Flinns and Dicks were early pioneers of the area. Several other Dick family members are buried in Union Cemetery and the Flinns are also buried in Marion and Wabash.
