Bio and Links
Bio Photo "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."

This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it.
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am doing photo requests for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. FIND A GRAVE ADMINISTRATORS SUPPORT THIS POLICY. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.

Please be kind to Photo Volunteers! We are out there in all kinds of weather in a variety of conditions to find your friend's/relative's graves. We are not after a Pulitzer Prize and sometimes even our best effort may produce a not-so-good photo. If any of my photos are not to your liking, please leave me a message and I will try to get a better one. I will not be offended.

NOTE: Due to the uncalled-for accusation by another unhappy contributor, I feel the need to make this statement: All photos that I have posted on Find a Grave ARE photos that I have taken myself, or, in the case of a few portrait photos, I received permission to use them and it is so stated in the photo's caption. Photos that I've posted of cemetery gates, signs, statues, buildings, points of interest, mausoleums, etc. that have been added to a cemetery's profile page were ALL taken by me and were given to the Admins of this site for posting if they chose to do so. Family photos are all photos that are in my possession, taken by me or immediate family members who are no longer living. I have never lifted photos from other websites so if you see photos on other websites that have been posted by me to Find a Grave, those photos were lifted from this site and used without my permission. I have only given permission to others to copy headstone photos, not any other type of photo.

Since March 2013 I have taken over management of approximately 25,000 memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

RE: Leonard's photo request.
Yes I ordered a marker a few weeks ago. The marker, once it is installed should include both their names. It should be within the next week, I may be going to inglewood tomorrow morning to meet with one of the Cemetery counsleors. That should speed things along

RE: Coincidence -
Really? I believe you're talking about the house on 17029 Atkinson Avenue. My father lived there back in 1995 before you came to Las Vegas, that is the house my father and grandfather grew up in. My dad also went to school at caismir middle school and North High School which are walking distance from at house. What a coincidence indeed, wait so if you live that close to the house... I wonder if by chance you know a good friend of mine that lives in that area and he was a good friend of my father's...? His name is Steve Kleinbauer, a tall gentlman with gray hair and a mustache. He's also a US Army veteran and has lived in that area almost 40 years possibly even longer.

RE: Hargetts
B.J.: Snowbird Wingo's family was always told she was part Native American.... her grandson had the DNA test done to be sure... she wasn't!
Thank you for making the changes!

RE: Lenard Hedstrom
Dear B. J. I apologize for the late reply. I would like to thank you for fulfilling my request for my great-grandfather Leonard Hedstrom. How unfortunate it is he doesn't have a headstone. I actually just recently lost my own father who was named after his grandfather. My father was Leonard Eugene Hedstrom. He passed away early this year due to lung cancer along with terminal cancer in the brain and Bone. After he passed away I had him cremated and buried him with his father Gerald Hedstrom who was Leonard Victor HHedstrom' only son. My name is Sean Michael hedstrom. Anyways thank you again for the photo. lastly, if you don't mind me asking is there anyway I can contribute in any way for him to have even a simple grave marker? From what I knew he was a veteran from what my father told me. I'm pretty sure he fought overseas. Anyways thank you once again

sincerely, hedstrom antuna

RE: LeRoy Durnil
Actually, identifying the veterans who are buried in an unmarked grave is a positive outcome. This should have been taken care of at the time of his death, but now that it is identified we can start contacting people in California to get the grave marked. By taking this photo you have helped in this process. I didn't realize there were so many veterans buried in unmarked graves! They are usually single, widowed, or divorced so there probably wasn't a spouse to request a marker.

RE: Marian Lane
Then don't you think that the Bio section should give an explanation about her names? Just a thought.
