RE: Reuben J & Mary H Erb Sorry to take so long replying. I didn't realize that the Union Cemetery was on that corner. My recollection of aerial images seemed to put it down the main road from the church. Of course, when I used to go up there the church was on the corner. I understand that there was a fire in the '70's.
I haven't checked on my posting lately, so I'll check it and make any necessary corrections.
You say you live down the road. Lillian (their daughter) and her husband, Edward Meacham, had the farm just across the creek from the curve at Little Road.
Jacob Fox - Mount Zion Cemetery Thank you so much for posting the pics you do! I have a question regarding the headstone photo of a Jacob Fox at Mount Zion Cemetery. As the headstone is quite old i cannot see from the picture what the dates read. However it is listed on this site as September 29, 1811. Can you confirm this for me? The reason i ask is that this is the ONLY place that his birthdate is listed as 1811. Every census, etc I find him on lists him as being born on September 20, 1814. Any help you can give would be appreciated! Thank you for your help
Reuben J & Mary H Erb We need to coordinate on the Sassamansville cemeteries. I initiated a memorial for Reuben & Mary (my G-Grandmother)[long story] without knowing the differentiation of the cemeteries. We shouldn't have the same memorial listed for two different adjacent cemeteries if they are, in fact, separate. Are you related?
RE: Adding photos -St Peter's Pikeland I've been in contact with Sharon here & there about burials at St Peters. She's taken on a considerable task reorganizing the two, and I agree-she's doing a fabulous job. Thanks for letting me know about photo additions-glad everything is a-ok! Melissa
