Bio

I am a 56 year old Geneology enthusiast, married to an ex Navy Man, we moved around for years, raising three boys following his Millitary career, getting out in 1994 and ending up working for the Delaware River and Bay Authority here in Cape May County, NJ where he currently manages the Cape May and Millville Airports, finally settling living in one place and putting down roots in my home state. I manage the home and Volunteer.

I have always enjoyed family stories and family History, so everyone gives me pictures or documents, and since about 1991 I have dabbled in Geneolgy between working as a special needs 1-1 aid with children who have Autism, adopting a daughter at age 14 with some minor special needs, and being a grandmother to 5 grandchildren, I worked on our Genealogy for both me and my husband; but recently when my situation changed and I was no longer with any children at home for years, and also not working, I had more time to devote to my Genealogy passion getting organized in notebooks by families and gathering printed copies of documents and pictures as well as scanning.

My Grandfather died when I was 3 and we spent many hours at the Cemetary caring for his grave site. Weeding, planting flowers, watering (that was my job,) and taking seasonal grave blankets! I always found the Cemetary to be a Sacred, Peaceful place and enjoyed the solitude that caring for the grave side brought to my Grandmother and mother, and also Empathetically cared for those grieving around me. It has always stayed with me and I look forward to in some small way caring for those around me as we work together on our family history and care for the grave side.
