My father got me interested in our family tree and it has become an enjoyable hobby. The search for old family graveyards and the creation of memorials on this web site by others has been an immeasurable help in this endeavor. I am a Georgia native.
My paternal family names include Stephens, Bussell/Bustle, Collins, Bowers, Osborn, Merritt, Cheek, Starrett, Baker, Glover, Kent, Guthrie, Colquitt, Pulliam, Holton, Hurst, Hawkins, Hodge, Lane, Tillman, and others.
My maternal family names include McConnell, Clauer, Stevenson, Crow, Brawner, Felton, Holladay(Holliday), Weitz, Wennemer, Gary, Richards, Spears, Worsham, Towns, Goolsby, Bowen, Baker, Harrold, Nesbitt, and others.
My family and I thank you so much for transferring this memorial to our care. Most members would not transfer because of F.A.G. guidelines. God Bless You. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to this wonderful site.
Would you please change my cousin's memorial to reflect cremation. I contacted Bill with Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Harris, Texas # 1-281-449-6511. I informed him that Thurman William Massey was Cremated on 28 Jan 1974. Per their memorial records... stated ashes were scattered. Most likely on the grounds of Brookside Memorial Park, but cannot confirm this. I did find his wife Ethel Marie Bussell Legge Massey buried with her first husband: Eric Pervical Stanley Legge. She is buried with him at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Plot: Section 5. This cemetery is also located in Houston, Harris, Texas. I thank you so much for your time and assistance. God Bless.
RE: Bussell Sure. Would you like all of the Bussells, if not, just give a list or use the "Edit". I am not related to any of them and saw you were working on them and I know that it is easier to make additions and changes when you have control. Best regards, Bud. PS. I got all of the info from books and notes at one of the many Historical Libraries around here. BB
Bussell Hi there. Hope all is well down yonder in Southern Ga. All links accepted. I saw where you were doing this family so if you like I will transfer any or all to you. I am Walter John Bussell now living in Stone Mountain, Ga the past 28 years. I gather every 'Bussell' I see just in case. Lived in Tenn for 26 years and ran into three separate clans there, but no connection. My great grandfather, Walter N. Bussell, came over in 1871 as a sixteen year old with his older brother and settled in New York. Older brother, Arthur, went on to San Francisco. Another, Edward, came over and settled in Philadelphia. So, that is us. Best regards, Bud
Linking Family Members I've been helping a friend with her family history. I was happy to find her ancestors on this site. Since you maintain some of these, would you connect Bertha L. House (#62084873) and her husband Pat L. House (# 62085006)? Thank you. Julia Bowman
Florrie Haley If this was Mr. Haleys first wife, my mother use to tell me she died and was buried in Cuthbert, but her husband had her body moved to Albany to be beside him. I always thought this was a great love on his part.
