I have been working on my family tree for the last 5 years, and have enjoyed sharing with others. I have been trying to add tombstones to my tree and this is a great way to help me and help others. I live in the greater Kansas City area so I can help with that area. I also go down to Burlington Kansas and Up to St. Joseph Mo. from time to time to add to my family tree.

I visited this cemetery this evening. Do you have any knowledge of the cause of all the infant deaths particularly of the name "Deppen" buried in the Bowen Cemetery? It seems odd that 1 h/w couple would have so many children die as infants or very young children over the years through 1860's- 1870's. I think only 1 lived to age 17 yrs.
These are not ancestors of mine I am just curious.

Thanks. Cheryl

Great photo of Eliza, and it is very thoughtful of you to locate her daughter and husband, and to notify me. I have established memorials and submitted photo requests, so please claim them. Now to develop the bios --
