I have been documenting the marriage of Ernest H. Smith to Ola N. (Trout) Drake and came across this memorial and the one for Baby Smith. I found the death records and/or birth records for these two children and have submitted an edit for Bernice since the records show she was born and died in 1908. They also show that the mother of these children was not Ola N. (Trout) Drake but Edith B. McConnell who was the first wife of Ernest H. Smith. I do not know what happened to her after the 1910 census. I could not find a memorial for her in Find A Grave and am hoping that you might have come across it. The memorials for these children need to be corrected to show only the father until the mother's grave is located. I don't know why the tombstone shows 1907 but suspect the marker was created at a later date.
Thank you for the edits. Best wishes to you in all of your work here at Find a Grave. You're tops!

Sacred To The Memory of Sadie E.
Sargent, Died, August 22, 1884
Aged 8 Months, 11 Days. “Her
Sun Set While It was Yet Day.”
This is the exact introduction to a memorial card which has the entire poem which was written by her mother and given to those interested in having a keepsake of Sadie.
When I figure out a way to place the entire poem onto Find A Grave I will do so but for now it is too long for "clip" and "copy and paste", at least for my present computer skills. LOL
Sadie is my husband's aunt. Would you consider a transfer to us?
Thanks for all the hard work you do for Find A Grave. It benefits so many people and is certainly a great finding aid.

Could you transfer JW Werts (# 41628070) to me? He is my 2nd great-grandfather and I'd like to add the information I have about him.

I am descent of the Bass line and don't know who his parents are--if you follow this obit he had a son Edward and Edward married Ella (McBride) and they had a son Jack-Jack recently died in Boone iowa-but who did WIlliam belong to or how did he fit in with all the other Bass descent in that time frame? any help?

I live in Ames but am originally from near Sioux City. I'm going through a lot of old newspaper obits. My grandparents were friends of a Kruse family from Ogden. So far I've found one Kruse obituary. Would you want it or can you tell me who would? I may find more.
