I've decided to add which cemetery/ies I will be going to in the near future so that if there is anyone out there that needs something from that area you can leave me a message. When you do please leave as much info about the person you are looking for. such as full names, variations of the name, dates, husband/wife/parents names so if they are in an unmarked grave near the relations I will be able to narrow the areas, lol, and also will be able to take those pictures also.

Please direct any emails to

If anyone has any information on who to contact about the Riverside Cemetery in Acadia Parish, Louisiana please let me know. Thanks!

RE: private cemetery
The property is actually owned by a large timber company, but the company has leased it to a hunting club that has all the access gates locked and no identification for a point of contact. Further hinders in that it is not a local hunting club.
Since this is a buriel of only two people, there is no established cemetery and no roads leading to it. It has been reported that they were buried where they fell when they were shot. Years later, someone placed stone markers where they are. It is out in the middle of the timber forest somewhere.

RE: Bingham Cemetery
I have some information on the ancestors of Mary Susan Bingham 1856-1915 daughter of Hugh Alexander Bingham 1821-1884 and Joyce S. Twiner 1822-1871.

Let me know if you still need this information.

RE: Jayhawker Cemetery
I know the general area where it is located. It is in the woods with no road access to it. I believe that the land is owned by a timber company, but the land is leased to a hunting club. Story is that they were buried at the spot where they were killed.
A friend of mine has seen the graves while hunting in that area prior to it being leased. I will ask him if he can go with me, if we can get access to the hunting lease.
