|I have been searching my families histories for 25 years with the help of many of my cousins and my sister-in-law.|
I have been involved with two cemeteries, Charles F. Austin and Greenwood they are both located on HWY 183, south east Austin.
Transfers will be according to the rules of Findagrave direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pictures and flowers are welcome.

|Barbara Tynes Claiborne||Re: Lenora Dodgem|
Sorry. Her other memorial with the pic is #40947588, and that memorial was posted after yours. I have a clutter of notes about the wives of Joel Salathial Lightsey and got confused. Getting too old for this! Thank you for the wonderful memorial you posted.

Thank you for calling this to my attention. The other memorial #44057958 with picture: parents Ed and Ethel Dodgen; mother of Joaleen and Ziana. The geneology here is correct, by birth records of daughters. But it is in Rock Springs Cemetery, Nacogdoches County Texas where she died. I don't know which memorial is "correct" as they both are. She died in Nacogdoches County, where she lived after her divorce from Sam Houston Taylor. I can't imagine someone burying her next to her first husband, unless it would be for the sake of the children. Big mystery - where's the body buried? which is the cenotaph? Barbara Tynes Claiborne

The memorial pages for William and Belle in Sunset appear to be in the correct cemetery so I have taken care of their pages at Dignowity by deleting them.
I changed the links on the children from the Dignowity memorial pages to the Sunset pages. Before deleting Belle's page, I tried to submit edits for links to her parents and moved Dawson to the maiden name slot. However, I see that you had already submitted edits for them.
Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.

|Donna Solomon-Sasso-Bilicko||James Ramsey Memorial # 49852945|
My Aunt Dorothy Barritt Ramsey (James wife) was just transferred to me. I noticed on her memorial a link for my Uncle Jim's Memorial. I was in touch with Jim's daughters (he lives with 2 of his daughters) in Austin a few weeks ago, he is very much alive. Could his Memorial be deleted for now. Thank You

Billie: The two cemeteries are connected together, but I feel like I have Philip in the correct cemetery (Saint Josephs). I now live out of state, so I can't check for myself. If someone can prove me wrong, I will be happy to delete the entry. ~Mike
|Gina Townley Swinburn||RE: MORGAN|
I'm sorry, I don't. But I am still trying to find out. It definitely intrigued me. I have no information on the accident itself and am trying to get records from that jurisdiction. In the '20's, even though cars were affordable, still many didn't have them, and there weren't that many on the roads at one time. I've come up with all kinds of scenarios in my head, but I'm looking for something with concrete proof. If I find any, you will be the first person I share it with :)

After contacting Find A Grave I got the picture removed and will repost it when the other picture is gone. Find A Grave is the only one who can remove a picture from the main page and I think the request must come from the person who posted the photo. Tom

I see you added a picture request for Jesse Meek @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

It's nice to connect with you. I remember your family very well. We even went up to their lake house a time or two. My parents loved to fish. You're correct, my mom had a terrible car wreck which left her with a bad leg. She was in the hospital for almost 2 years. She now lives in San Antonio, where my 2 sisters live. Denise Butcher is a school teacher. Sandra Lindley and her husband are retired and have 2 sons and 3 grandsons . All in SA. I live in Arlington with my husband. We are both retired. Son lives here and daughter in Los Angeles. Dad passed away in 2005. He had Alzheimers for 12 long years. He is buried at FT Sam in SA. Thank you for letting me know you are in Austin. I will tell mother. We visit her sisters who live there. Hope all is well with you and your family. Happy New Year!
