|I have been searching my families histories for 25 years with the help of many of my cousins and my sister-in-law.|
I have been involved with two cemeteries, Charles F. Austin and Greenwood they are both located on HWY 183, south east Austin.
Transfers will be according to the rules of Findagrave direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pictures and flowers are welcome.

I'm sorry, I don't. But I am still trying to find out. It definitely intrigued me. I have no information on the accident itself and am trying to get records from that jurisdiction. In the '20's, even though cars were affordable, still many didn't have them, and there weren't that many on the roads at one time. I've come up with all kinds of scenarios in my head, but I'm looking for something with concrete proof. If I find any, you will be the first person I share it with :)

After looking thorough your Blackstock family line I believe we have a lot of relatives in common. I see some people I have that you don't have and vice versa. I would like to talk to you about the two families. I believe between the two of us we can solve a lot of missing members to each of our families. You can contact me at JerrySwafford14 @ aol.com or we can arrange to speak over the phone. I would enjoy speaking to you.

Here is the Memorial for one of the children, for which along with the rest, you are the custodian.
Obviously, if you are a descendent, I do not expect you to transfer these memorials. If you prefer to keep them for any reason, OK with me. But if you want to transfer them, you will be doing to to a relative.
All the best,
|Richard Baldwin Cook||40449100|
I am related to Nicholas Dawson. His great uncle was named Nicholas Dawson and is a direct ancestor of mine. I would be pleased to take responsibility for these Memorials, if that is convenient for you.
I would be pleased also to be entrusted with their children's Memorials, as well. (I have not checked each one to see if they are in your care. I will do so and write to you again, if that's the case.)
Whatever you decide, let me thank you for your care and attention.

After contacting Find A Grave I got the picture removed and will repost it when the other picture is gone. Find A Grave is the only one who can remove a picture from the main page and I think the request must come from the person who posted the photo. Tom

I see you added a picture request for Jesse Meek @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Wow! I wish I still had the physical ability to do the things that some friends and these great folks have exibited.
Thank you for the information about the cemetery being cleaned.

It's nice to connect with you. I remember your family very well. We even went up to their lake house a time or two. My parents loved to fish. You're correct, my mom had a terrible car wreck which left her with a bad leg. She was in the hospital for almost 2 years. She now lives in San Antonio, where my 2 sisters live. Denise Butcher is a school teacher. Sandra Lindley and her husband are retired and have 2 sons and 3 grandsons . All in SA. I live in Arlington with my husband. We are both retired. Son lives here and daughter in Los Angeles. Dad passed away in 2005. He had Alzheimers for 12 long years. He is buried at FT Sam in SA. Thank you for letting me know you are in Austin. I will tell mother. We visit her sisters who live there. Hope all is well with you and your family. Happy New Year!
|Bruce Hicks||RE: Brieden|
Hi Billie, I've been adding Texas Germans recently. When I added Annie Langfeld and linked her to her parents (John and Mary Brieden) I noticed Frances as a child of John and Mary but Mary was 61 when Frances was born. That's how it all came about. Yes I'm from the Houston area now but grew up in San Antonio, went to Austin for college, and moved here for work long ago. I married a German and my sister married a South Texas Pole. It all contributes to my many varied interests when it comes to Find A Grave. Veterans are another one of my interests. I've added about 8,000 people to National Cemeteries. In most cases I try to link families and do a little research on the people. It's all in the hope that maybe it will help someone else looking for their family. Bruce
