I currently live in the Beckley, WV area, but I previously lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, and I am originally from the Northern Virginia area. Over the past several years, I've gotten interested in genealogy and researching my family tree. Find A Grave has helped me with full names and dates of birth and death. It has also helped me to "visit" loved ones who are buried in states too far away to go to in person or those that were cremated. I have relatives buried in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and California. The main surnames in my family are Craig, Morris, McGraw and Fleming.
I have transcribed names and added memorial pages for people in West Virginia and in Florida. I photograph headstones and create memorial pages for those people. I hope that the information I add will help others in their genealogy research. And I thank those who have done the same for me and my ancestors. If you would like a memorial I've added transferred to you, just send me a message.
Anyone may use the photos I've taken of headstones and/or cemeteries on their family trees or for any other personal use, without asking permission or giving credit.
RE: Ethel Dempsey Thank you so much Kelly. I appreciate all the work. I'm not sure, if you have a connection, but if you do, have you found a marriage record for John Dempsey and Sarah? Thanks again, Nancy
I am the granddaughter of Effie Mae Fleming 1891-1944 and Lewis Edward Campbell 1876-1946.
I just recently ask that my mother Belva (Campbell) Shank be added to my grandparents memorial. Thank you for doing so.
I was wondering if you have much research on the Campbells? I notice that most people take the Campbells back to a Charles Campbell who was from Scotland and lived in Cuberland, North Carolina. I have also found a Charles Campbell who was from Scotland but lived in Pa. Do you have any research on this.
I see you live in Beckley, WV. My husband has a niece who lives in Beckley. Her name is Diana (DeeDee) Scott.
Tomblins/Tumblins Hi!! This is very random, but I am married to Mark Tumblin, who is the nephew of Franklin R Tomblin (husband of Linda Tomblin). I noticed you added the picture of Linda and contributed to Franklin's page as well.. I am trying to gather information for a family tree, as Mark doesn't know too much about his family beyond his own parents, and we would love to preserve something for our children. Also, we're frankly curious about what little we know!! I was wondering if you had any information that might be helpful, or if you are related!
Memorial Photos Good Morning, You added a photo to one of my memorials for my Grandmother and was wonder if you could add the same photo to my Grandfathers memorial. It is a joint stone. The photo is at memorial #47964119 and if you could add it to memorial #47964119. If you can I would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for all you do for us at Find a Grave. Jennifer
Anna Martin Hello! Would you mind removing the top two pictures you have on memorial # 101121970? I have a clearer one that allows for the removal of the close up. I would really appreciate if you would do that. If you ever have a better photo than mine on a memorial, please let me know so I can remove mine. 5 free slots doesn't seem like enough and who can afford to pay the extra? Many thanks!
